Recently, I went to a 2 days, 1 night trip at Kuala Kangsar, Kuala Sipitang, Taiping. Below is the itinerary, organised by Travellers Holiday Travel & Tour Sdn Bhd. The whole journey is a travel by bus & the first pit stop is at Bidor for a breakfast, before heading to the first main attraction.
Day 1- Kuala Kurau-Kuala Sipitang-Taiping
Salted egg Factory
Bought some salted egg and local products from this shop named-> Joo Hong Chan. Also get to know the process of how salted egg is made from scratch.Bought some salted egg & century eggs to bring home
Stroll at Bagan Seberang
Thereafter, is visit to Kuala Kurau, and lunch at the foodcourt, Restoran Kean Seang Lee, where I ordered mantis prawns
Charcoal factory visit
There is an instructor who will talked how the charcoal is produced , on the whole process involved from scratch until the end products like vinegar, floor cleaner
The instructor also mentioned that the trees are transported to the factory via the river.
I tried to carry the tree, and to be honest, it is heavy & is not easy to move it up
Boat tour at Kuala Sepetang
Activities here included:
- Tour around the village with speedboat
- Fish feed by ownself
- View eagle feeding by boat captain
During the eagle feeding activities, the boat captain dump some the food to the river, which contains chicken oil . I remembered , chicken oil is one of the ingredients . The purpose is to attract the eagles to come over. At the same time, the boat captain need to do some whistling sound to attract a bunch of eagles to fly around at the designated area.
The day ends with checkin to hotel at Flemington Hotel, Taiping.
